In this passage about a healing miracle, how does Jesus respond to the different groups: the crowd, the family of the boy, and the disciples? Which do you need more of- greater faith or more prayer?

Some Israelites did not enter the promised land because of their unbelief and rebellion. In what way are you at risk for giving in to sin’s deceitfulness? (verses 12-19). Cast aside any unbelief.

The disciples ask for increased faith, but Jesus teaches that small faith can do great things. Do you see faith as a duty or a gift? Remember that God expects us to believe him at his word.

Here Jesus heals ten lepers, and yet only one comes back to give thanks. Notice Jesus says "your faith has made you well" after the man has already been healed. In what way do you need to be spiritually restored today?

What was the primary ministry of the disciples? How did they delegate other tasks to capable deacons?
