Extravagant Devotion

What is keeping you from showing extravagant love to Christ? Pride? Need for Control? Fear of Humiliation? Just a few days before Jesus' crucifixion, Mary shows her extravagant love for Christ by anointing Jesus with expensive perfume. Was this a waste? In the disciples' view it was certainly impractical. But Jesus affirms her action- knowing that this anointing was only days before his burial. In the face of such supreme sacrifice by Christ, our only proper response is extravagant devotion.
